Our Story
Turismar srl was established in 1985, with registered office in Tortolì (OG), as a construction company for civil and industrial works.
In 1997, he acquired a State concession in the port of Arbatax on which he invested in the construction of a marina, the Marina di Arbatax, which he still owns today. In 2002, he joined Saipem spa, a subsidiary of the Eni group, first with construction work and then on the construction of the largest jacket (submerged part of the oil platforms) called Sabratha, ever built in the Mediterranean.
Industrial scaffolding activities, on behalf of Saipem, continued until 2015, having counted 16 major projects at the Arbatax site, as well as installations at sea of the same, from Libya to Congo.In 2015, thanks also to the experience gained in the Saipem group, Turismar joined Saras spa; first with the scaffolding and insulation sector, and then in the following years also with the naval vessels and diving unit.
2019 also marks the entry into the industrial site of Rosetti Marino spa in Ravenna, both in the San Vitale shipyard (Rosetti Superyacht) and in Piomboni, where oil platforms are built. In 2020 it acquires the port of Marina di Villaputzu, currently managed by us.In 2021 it is awarded the only private concession, by the Ministry of the Environment, to carry out clean-up and depollution activities at sea covering the south-eastern stretch of Sardinia (from Teulada to Arbatax), with a private contract for active surveillance H24/365 days/year inside the Saras spa refinery.
Since 2022, the company has expanded and strengthened its underwater division, winning, in competition with international operators, the contract for the removal of eight ENI hydrocarbon pipelines (over 1 km in length) in the industrial canal of the Port of Livorno: a strategic operation for the start of dredging works and the construction of the Darsena Europa.
The operations, carried out entirely at night to avoid interfering with commercial maritime traffic, represented an important milestone for the company, marking the opening of a new branch and the establishment of a permanent operational team in the Port of Livorno, dedicated to meeting the needs of the national market.
